Succulents

Well hello crafty friends!  Katie here, stopping by to share my take on this month's challenge #3.

If you recall the inspiration photo:

So fun and trendy!  Remember that with each challenge you can choose 1, 2 or 3 of the elements as your inspiration.  I chose all 3...
  • A little wood-grain- check!
  • Some metallic- check!
  • Succulents- check!

The focal point of this card is the geometric shape cut from gold (oh how I love the shimmer!) with the corresponding succulents behind (Hero Arts).  The backdrop is brushed with Delicata Gold Ink from Tsukineko.  The framing is perfect from which to hang this lovely plant and I did so with some copper thread and hung it from my metal colored enamel dot.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.
After making this card, it made me want more metalic things to play with!  So I went out and about to the shop and decided to pick up some of these goodies to add to my stash:

Now, if only I could get my craft nook finished so I can create more...maybe even all the time!  Bwahahaha!

Thanks for visiting.  Don't forget to join us for this fun challenge!
